Short Bio – United Truce is Boris Buhot (Be-U-Oh) a Toronto based, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter with a powerful collage of alternative-grunge-folk styles, which migrate through themes of inner truth and outer changes.


 

One Paragraph BioBoris Buhot (Be-U-Oh) the will behind United Truce was imprinted by that era of music caught between the post Beatles and 1984. The debut album 1041, was largely crafted in the late 70’s and early 80’s, but not recorded and produced until almost 30 years later under the guidance of Wellesley Sound Studios Jeff McCulloch. Containing flavours of punk and 70’s new wave rock. Boris has since released several singles and is finishing production on another full length album to be released under his new nom de plume “One Eyed Oracle.”

 


Full Length Bio – Boris Buhot (Be-U-Oh) is a Canadian independent songwriter with songs inspired from an eclectic array of tastes set within an alt-grunge-folk format.   His thought provoking music, and versatility as a vocalist/multi-instrumentalist have stirred music journalists to note his live performances as being “powerfully original” “talented and compelling” “a passionate artist”. 1041, the follow-up debut album to the EP We’ll Be Flying, were released through United Truce. United Truce’s songs resonate with “menacing energy” and a sweeping range of ideologies based around themes of mother earth, social justices, and the human condition, with a philosophy of spirituality, responsibility, and brotherhood.

   Influenced by Psychedelic to Glam rock, Classic styles to Alternative, She-Bop to Ska, Blues to Funk, Classical to Traditional, and Folk to Reggae, highlights include Bowie, Beatles (Lennon, Harrison,McCartney, Bachman Turner Overdrive, AC-DC, The Cars, Nazareth, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, 999, The Pretenders, Radio Head, World Party, XTC, REM, U2, Echo and the Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, Cult, Tears for Fears, Ramones, Teenage Head, Smiths, New Order, John Martin, Neil Young, Hot House Flowers, Blondie, Melissa Etheridge, and many incredibly gifted independent artists from the Greater Toronto Area and beyond that remain local legends saints and star-seeds.
